{ storage cabinet } old new again

My favorite kind of craft is taking something old and making
it new! Just adding a coat of paint can bring any old thing back
to life! I like shopping at second hand stores
and yard sales for inexpensive items that I can
transform into my own style!
I was given this over the toilet storage cabinet. I don't
have a lot of room in my bathroom so I took it happily!
But.... it was very plain and had a flower thing on the
doors that just weren't my style! Plus it looked like some
one tried coloring them with marker to help them match
their bathroom! So... I transformed it with a simple
project!

What you'll need:
  1. Fabric, lace and scissors
  2. Mod Podge and sponge brush

I started this redo by first removing the flower thing. Then I
sanded the glue off the area.

I chose some fabric that matched my bathroom.
I'm using this peachy color and lace! Cut out your
pieces to the right size of the space you'll be placing them.

Once you have your fabric and lace cut, you can now put it on your
project. Use your foam brush and spread Mod Podge over
the area. Make sure you cover it well.
(sorry the lighting isn't good in here)
Now place your fabric on! Smooth the fabric out from the
center. Try not to stretch it or your fabric piece will seem too big.
Allow this to dry. I waited 45 min because the fabric absorbs the
adhesive.

Now place another layer of Mod Podge over the top of
your fabric. Put plenty on!

Add your lace pieces. Allow this to dry.

Your last step is to add another layer of Mod Podge
over the top of your lace, moving from center to edges.

That's it! Simple & really cheap!
