{ flower wreath }

I had a FUN fourth of July! I crafted all day with my sisters! Here is something
we came across on the web and had to recreate it!

What you'll need:
  1. Wreath form
  2. Fabric
  3. Fast grab tacky glue
  4. Felt
  5. Hot glue and scissors
  6. Heavy card stock
Start by making as many flowers in as many different sizes as you
want! You can use this link to learn to make the flowers you see on
my wreath. I made 14 flowers total.

Now to make the leaves.

Start with a piece of fabric about 6x3 inches.

Fold it in half long way, right side out, so you have a 3x3 inch square.

Now fold the left corner down to the center so the folded edge is your top
point!

Use tacky glue to secure it.

Now do the same to the right side and tack it down.

Go back the left side and fold the new corner over a little past the center
and tack it down. Do the same to the right side.

Now do it one more time. You should have a leaf looking thing! :)
I made 5 leaves for my wreath.

The next step is to trace half of your wreath onto the your heavy card stock.

Now set your flowers and leaves out how you want them using the tracing
as a guide to where they'll sit on your wreath.

Once you have them where you want them, glue them down to the paper
using your tacky glue. Allow them to dry about 10 min.

Cut the paper around the outside edge of the flowers so you have
one big piece to attach to your form.

Cut strips of fabric to cover your wreath. When you run out of one
strip just hot glue the end to the back side of the form and
start a new strip by hot gluing it to the same spot you ended
your last one. Wrap until it's covered.

Now use hot glue and attach the flower to your wreath!

I used a strip of fabric to hang it!

And here is the one my sis made! Love the polka dot ribbon!
